I am also amazed at how well I can still move this body. Yes, I take more breather breaks and I scale most of the wods, but my form is continuing to get better and better. I guess I kind of expected that more of the skills I do would disappear more rapidly. The good news is they haven't. Double unders and toes to bar are still in the mix! One thing I have noticed is the shifting and movement in my pelvis, sacrum and lower vertebrate. It makes movements like squatting and running feel very different. I finally had to stop running as it caused too much pelvic soreness the next day. Good thing I like rowing anyway.
In order to deliver at the Brooklyn Birthing Center, Keith and I are required to take a labor and delivery class. So Saturday we attended Yoga for Labor and Delivery with Adele Loux-Turner at the Abhyasa Yoga Center in Brooklyn. It turned out to be the perfect choice for us as it focused on techniques to use for a natural birth. Adele was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend this class for expecting couples. Adele also teaches Prenatal and Mommy and Me yoga classes.
